Christmas in Watford with the family, then in Falmouth with friends. Christmas Day had its usual tensions about who wanted to watch soaps, sports or drama on the television, so the hot tub was a great escape.
Between the mince pies and midnight celebrations, the tragic tsumani was the focus of interest. We wondered about places we had visited, people we had met on our travels, what we could do to help. Mostly, it was a matter of making donations though I wasn't on the net, so I contributed to a collection while exploring Helston and the Lizard.
The hotel I stayed at in October caught a wave from the tsunami but is fine.
