Ashton-under-Lyne 1955

I was born in Ashton-under-Lyne September 1955, so must have spent Christmas there - the first and probably the last. Eighteen months later my sister was born in St Helens.

This photo was taken at my school in Chester. It was already my fourth school and I was yet to leave for my fifth primary school, in Singapore. I then went on to secondary schools in Singapore, Chester, Winchester and West Kirby before doing A levels at an FE college.
